About
Hello, my name is SUE PUCHOWITZ. I am a certified art teacher with a background in art therapy and multi mediums teaching ages 4 through 15 and adults. I have been a professional art educator teaching in a public and private setting for over 35 years in my personal art studio of Elkins Park, and currently, relocated my new space location to the Rittenhouse area of Philadelphia. My studio is a private, safe, germ-free, green environment for all to enjoy.
Goals:
I am an advocate of building one’s self esteem through the many mediums of art including clay, drawing, painting, sculpture, sewing and all mixed medias. Previously I promoted each artist's work at many local businesses and public facilities in the area including Cosi, Starbucks, Moderne Life Interiors, Rhinosaurus, Jenkintown Dance Studio, Barnes and Noble, Old Navy, Langman Gallery of Willow Grove, Elsie’s Coffee Shop, and the Elkins Park Library. Now, it's time for center city! It’s all about nurturing that happy place of self satisfaction that reveals your true creative accomplishments. That’s my goal!
Approach:
Art savvy? Not necessary! Just be curious and have a good time. I use an open-ended, problem solving approach in planning an art experience in the studio.
Through that approach I cover material usage and techniques in multi mediums. We work and re-work through the creative process to accomplish each individual’s idea, one on one, until finally, the student feels successfully fulfilled. “Voila” that wonderful smile of creative joy appears.
